- Available Dogs
It doesn't happen often, but MuttSchool occasionally has dogs that have training available to qualified homes. We have a rigorous application process which includes a mandatory home visit.

Jet was a victim of our Covid-break. He was ready to start as a service dog when we were shut down for Covid. A year later and we're just getting around to searching for the perfect working home for him.
DOB: 3/28/18
Color: Black Tri
Registry: AKC
Titles held: CGC, CGCA, CGCU
plus two qualifying legs toward his novice title in barn hunt. He loves this sport and would like to continue it!
Trained for: Jet has very advanced obedience training including perfect public access skills. He would make a good therapy or a service dog with additional training to teach tasks specific to the owner.
Behavioral challenges: Barky when left to his own devices. He likes to work and be near his people. If he's by your side and working, he's quiet and attentive.
Please note: He requires professional grooming once a month.
Partial MuttCare scholarship available for payment and continued training towards service dog tasks or therapy dog.

adopted
DOB: 4/24/2020
Color: Cream
Registry: none
Titles held: CGC

Behavioral challenges: Dog selective. Clever has friends that are large breed dogs but would prefer to not live with other dogs.
Please note: Clever comes with a first grade group class so the new owner can learn some of what Clever has been taught.
Do you want to be a puppy raiser?
Puppy raisers commit to fostering a service dog prospect in your home for the first year of it's life. The goal is to teach the puppy about every day life at your home and in public while providing daily training according to MuttSchool's guidelines. Puppies attend MuttSchool's group classes and DaySchool twice a week. MuttCare provides insurance to cover veterinary costs. You will be responsible for all other costs of caring for the puppy. Talk to your accountant because most expenses you incur are tax-deductible. Puppy raisers must live within 30 minutes of our training center. This is a great opportunity for 4Hers, people that want a companion without a 15-year commitment or anyone interested in training dogs. We prefer puppy raisers without other dogs in the home but we will consider homes with calm dogs that we meet and approve. Contact us at contact@muttcare.org for an application.
