- MHK | Our Services
When you sign up for an evaluation with MuttSchool, we will guide you through the process of determining what services your dog needs based on many different factors. But, to help you get started, we have created a flow chart that will take you through a series of questions to help you identify which services are right for your dog.
The first question on our flow chart is, "Are you frustrated with your dog's behavior?"
If you answer "yes," then our behavior program may be the right place for you and your dog. Our behavior program is designed to address and modify any challenging behaviors your dog may have.
Your dog may qualify for our behavior modification program if it:
These skills are sit, down, wait, stay, come, touch, walk nicely on a leash, and go to place. We are looking for fluency on these skills, not just being lured into position. Visit our blog post on "Building a Strong Foundation for your dog" for more information on behavior fluency.
If your dog does not have challenging behaviors and they don't know these essential obedience skills, then our Foundations program, including our puppy classes, is the right place for you and your dog to start. MuttSchool offers group classes, private lessons and DaySchool to help your dog learn the basic foundational skills they need to become a well-behaved companion.
We have some great options for dogs ready for more advanced training: Discovery Dogs, where your dog can explore and learn new skills, and the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program, which is a nationally recognized certification that can be earned by well-behaved dogs, as well as training for therapy and service dogs.
At MuttSchool, we are committed to helping your dog become the best they can be. We believe that training is a lifelong journey, and we are here to support you every step of the way.
